I was fortunate enough to be able to go to an artist lecture held by the local artist Rosalind Koons. Overall, her lecture was very intriguing and inspiring and was a great experience. I loved learning about her sculpture making process and was especially happy to learn about the many cheap ways to make art and ended up taking a full page of notes for later. Additionally, I find her work subject and style to be very captivating and how they relate to her chronic auto-immune illness, for example, the presence of medical tubes in all her work. All in all this artist lecture was a great experience and I loved learning about the processes for a working exhibition artist and what that entails.
